16th October.
No news really. Although we've got the builders in , they are not the problem. It seems that, at the moment, there is no electricity at the new gym. Those very nice people at United Utilities are endeavouring to connect us soon..................................
26th September.
I called at the new gym earlier today and managed to grab a few pictures.I know it doesn't look too homely at the mo but at least you can see work in progress.
It always looks a mess when you've got the builders in.
The view from the river.
One of the units.
The other unit.
And what they look like together.
As you can see its quite a large space! Witness the Transit van and the skip. The chap in the background on the right hand side was lucky to escape when a herd of wildebeest passed close by. I will keep you posted. Mike.
This is a link to Google maps so you can see how far it is from you.Have a gander.
(It's the little white bit , just before Albion st. by the river.)

Building work has been going on for the past few days at our new home at Bury bridge. Anyone who has ever ''had the builders in'' will know that with the best will in the world, things can sometimes go awry. The new premises were designed as an industrial unit so a fair amount of work is needed to turn it into a gym.
It is HUGE. Room for a full sprung floor, a trampoline, tumble run , pommels, rings, A bars, high bars, beams, herds of wildebeest........
However, we hope to be ready for business on Monday, November 12th.
O.K. It may be a week or two further away than we'd like but moving an operation of this size to a place that wasn't designed to accomodate it was never going to be simple.
Providing that the plumber doesn't find that his grommets are the wrong size and that the electricians have the right size screwdriver the plan is:.....
A complete new Gymnasium will be installed at our new home by Continental Sports before 5th November.
Week commencing 5th November we will have a number of open evenings to let you see the new place and to let everyone register for the appropriate classes. Dates and times to be confirmed.
We will open for business on Monday 12th November for all recreational and squad classes for boys and girls.
Well, that's the plan...... but we've got the builders in.

28TH NOVEMBER
Well, the builders have been in and they have very little left to do. The only trouble is that United Utilities STILL haven't connected the electricity! Until they do we are stuck. We are at their mercy I'm afraid and although Keith Waddington has used his best efforts we still don't have a date. Hmmmmmmmm . Watch this space.
