Bury Metro Olympic Gymnastics Club
8th May 2007
Dear Paul,
BURY METRO OLYMPIC GYMNASTICS CLUB
It goes without saying that British Gymnastics considers the loss of the facilities of Bury Metro
Olympic Gymnastics Club deeply upsetting. Bury Metro O.G.C. has been a major producer of
high quality, well prepared and focussed gymnasts for a number of years. Bury Metro O.G.C.
can be considered as a key provider of gymnastics and related activity participation
opportunities within its locality. Furthermore it is an essential supplier of high quality
gymnastics in the North West and indeed to the national scene. To this end, British
Gymnastics is committed to working with all relevant partners to ensure that Bury Metro
O.G.C. once again can pursue its mission.
British Gymnastics will provide all relevant support to you and your team to ensure you and
your club get the best of facilities to compliment your dedication and pursuit of excellence. If I
can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
Neil Burton

Dear Mike,
I hope you don't mind me contacting you directly.
One of my colleagues, Duncan Tyrell has spoken to me about the recent arson attack on Goshen Sports Centre.
We are genuinely sorry to hear about such an incident, having being victims of a fire ourselves and recognising that the BMOGC plays such a central role in the Bury community.
I am writing therefore to see if we can offer some assistance to your appeal. We would very much like to help out by purchasing a new piece of equipment or new resource for you. We would like to donate £1,000 to the appeal.
Please could I ask you to contact me to discuss?
I look forward to hearing from you and again, hope the appeal is going well.
Thanks Jane

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your disaster with the fire but one thing good to come from it is the visible effort so many of your members are making to ensure it continues to function - I feel sure the Club will go on to be stronger than ever. The enthusiasm leaps out from your web site!
If your fund raising includes a raffle or auction then please let me know and I will be delighted to send you something to help.
Good luck to all those brave souls who are leaping into the void on the abseiling event!
Kind regards and best wishes with all your fund raising.

Dear All,
I was so sorry to hear about the devastating fire at your gym club. As a parent
of a fanatical female gymnast, I can easily imagine the upset for all gymnasts
and coaches alike on seeing the scene.
I'm sure I speak for all at our club, Manx Gymnastics, in hoping that your club
is up and running very soon.
