11th June.
We are having a fund raising bucket shake at The Millgate Centre in Bury on Saturday June 30th. A big thank you to Lisa Smith for this.
Boys and girls who are B.G. registered are needed to perform/demonstrate on the day. We will also need plenty of adult volunteers.
The day will run from 9am to 5pm and will be broken down into half hour slots.
If you would like to take part please speak to your coach or drop me a line via the contacts page.
Recreational gymnasts and their parents are welcome to come along and help to collect but, for insurance reasons, will not be able to perform.
THIS IS AN ENORMOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO RAISE BOTH CASH AND THE PROFILE OF THE CLUB. PLEASE DO ALL YOU CAN TO MAKE THE DAY A SUCCESS. THANKS.
Mike.
Cath Thorley is at present talking with Milano so that if adults, of children in BMOGC, buy any Milano gymnastics clothing, the club will recieve 15% back which can be transfered into the BMOGC Fundraising Account.
As yet we haven't finalised the details of this arrangemnt. If you are imminently thinking of buying anything from Milano either through the website: www.MILANO-pro-sports.com or by post, please contact Cath Thorley before you place the order. She can tell you how to do it so BMOGC will receive 15% of anything you order.
THANKS CATH FOR DOING THIS FOR US.
Here's the idea folks. We would like to build a collection of recipes with an eye to producing a book which we can market, with any profit being returned to the club. The recipe can be for a drink, starter, main course, pudding, sweet, cake etc.etc. If you have a favourite Halloween snack or a family Christmas tradition (Ours is Mike's marvellous bread sauce, don't really know why!) then send it in. It would be nice to arrange the book with a recipe for each day so that'll be 365 recipes, won't it?
It doesn't need to be Haute Cuisine, even if it's a simple sarnie it can go in the book. Recipes that are suitable for children to prepare would be very welcome.
Please email your efforts marked Recipes to.....
Thanks Mike.
19th May
A big thank you goes to Mrs Arlene Rees and Holly Mount Primary School. Why? Because they have organised a coffee afternoon on Friday 25th May between 2.15 and 3.15pm. All are welcome, but please bear in mind that access to the school is a little tricky along a single track road. Coffee, tea, cakes and a raffle are on offer in aid of our cause so if you can get along there, please do. Arlene has done a magnificent job of parting local businesses from all sorts of goodies for the raffle and we are very grateful to the following businesses and individuals for their generosity. A meeting has been arranged at Castle Leisure Centre on Wednesday 2nd May at 7pm for ANYONE and everyone who is interested in fundraising for the club. Don't be shy, if you would like to help we will be glad to see you. Although we don't have a gym at the moment in years to come someone will benefit from your efforts now. Please do what you can.
Please bear in mind that ALL THE MONEY we raise as a club at this time WILL go to the Club's new gymnasium.
BMOGC is a non profit making organisation where ALL monies raised goes back into the club to improve the facilities for the children.
The aim of this meeting is to:-
1. Gather together ideas of how we can raise the money we need to fund the additional building costs of a larger gymnasium and the provision of additional gymnastics equipment.
2. Provide opportunities for families involved with the gymnastics club to meet socially at these fund raising events, thereby helping to strengthen BMOGC as a club.
If you are prepared to volunteer your time to raise money to help create improved facilities when the club comes back under one roof please email your name to us at bmogcfundraising@hotmail.co.uk. Please give us your name and contact number and we will contact you.
